Job Responsibilities
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions
- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner
- Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems
- Participate in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information
- Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g., materials, components, equipment, and services)
- Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value
- Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues
- Work with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability

What can we expect?
- You have a degree in business administration, logistics or comparable fields of science with initial professional experience in the automotive industry in an operational sales role (or comparable).
- Alternatively, you have completed your vocational training and have at least 5 years of professional experience in an operational sales role (or comparable).
- Experience with the BMW Group template management system ConRecOrd will be a plus.
- Familiarity with BMW Processes and confidence to handle and communicate with various Interface partners, e.g. with specialist departments & central functions.
- Personal initiative and 100% reliability.

How You'll Make Your Mark
- As a Sustainability Manager – Climate, Data & Systems in the international sustainability sector, you will work in an international and interdisciplinary project team
- You will manage projects and processes to support the company’s efforts to achieve Net Zero and oversee a team of data analysts
- Develop and continuously improve the climate data strategy, including working across reporting and business teams to identify data gaps, and prioritize and develop solutions to improve data quality and support necessary compliance efforts (e.g. CSRD)
- Support the ALDI SUD Group in the launch of new technology solutions to support enhanced reporting, particularly in Scope 3
- Coordinate with relevant international and national business units (Buying, Supply Chain Management, IT, etc.) to complete annual GHG footprint and share progress

- You will engage in tool-supported generation of vehicle configuration templates in the system ConRecOrd that have been statistically determined and agreed in the "Stock and Template Advisory Circle (STAC)".
- In your role you will support the team to monitor the actuality of active templates and ensure the restriction conformity within the framework of the STAC.
- As an Intern you support the team to setup Voice of the Markets (VoMS) Surveys.
- You will test new system developments and processes.
- You will engage in regular exchange with relevant interfaces and market based sales functions.
