Sourcing Group Lead Buyer (f/m/d)

The hydraulic cylinder category is a strategically important and fast growing segment at PALFINGER. As a strategic buyer in the Palfinger organization, you will be responsible for procurement management around hydraulic cylinders. Within this function as Sourcing Group Lead Buyer you will be responsible for global sourcing groups in our organization. You will maintain close contact with our domestic and foreign suppliers, as well as with many internal plant interfaces.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading of global sourcing groups including the strategy definition and execution
• Supplier relationship management from a technical and commercial perspective
• Market analyses with selection, evaluation, and qualification of suppliers
• Execution of RFQ’s, price negotiations and contracting based on total cost approach
• Support Make-or-Buy processes and target costing for existing and new products and  coordinate internal stakeholder requirements (R&D, SCM, OPS, QC).

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical / commercial education (technical apprenticeship, technical college, studies ...) or adequate knowledge
• Technical understanding and knowledge in reading drawings
• 5-10 years of experience in strategic procurement 
• English spoken and written
• Good IT user knowledge (SAP R3 / S4 Hana, MS Office ..)
• Entrepreneurial thinking, negotiation skills and hands-on mentality

Minimum yearly gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 52.197,04 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conform overpayment.
