At MyGroove we are building the future of music experience and education through instructional videos and interactive playing as well as a host of other features. We are a lean startup working in a hands-on, agile process using short iteration cycles with extensive team feedback on each iteration in order to deliver high-quality work. This is delivered via a cross-platform app (built with React Native), website (NextJS) and backend platform (tRPC, Postgres, Drizzle, AWS, Payload CMS)

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you’ll be hands-on with the entire platform end-to-end and work alongside our existing team of Fullstack Engineers to deliver exciting new features, fix bugs, maintain and provision key services and continue to push our technical expertise forward. Additionally, due to the Senior nature of the role you should be comfortable managing and assisting team members where required.

Collaborate

In this role, you’ll have to play as a team to develop and improve the stack of the app.

Support

Last but not least, you’ll fix bugs and outages across the stack to ensure smooth use of the product.

Build and maintain features

You’ll be working across the whole stack end-to-end. You’ll review PRs, manage deployments, CI & server configurations

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

• Strong React Native experience using TypeScript and the ecosystem of libraries (including ReactQuery, Zustand, Expo’s Suite of libraries as well)
• Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent Bachelors (or proof of excellent prior work)
• German and English fluency
• Experience with native and systems level languages like Swift, Kotlin, ObjC, Java, C/C++ (also preferable if you have knowledge of JSI, TurboModules or NitroModules)
• Experience with AWS (console or CDK), NodeJS, Postgres and optionally tRPC and Payload CMS or similar tools
• Familiar with Git and GitHub tools including Pull Requests, code review processes, GitHub Actions etc.
• Self-organized & comfortable with remote work and async meetings / discussions and sharing clear progress or blockers with the team via tools like Slack and Linear
• Can help lead, support and aid the team to grow together e.g. a big team player
