Area Sales Manager Skiwear (f/m/d)
In this exciting and challenging role, you will play a key part in the ATOMIC organization by complementing the local ATOMIC Sales Team. We are looking for an operational, structured, innovative, and proactive Area Sales Manager for the world’s leading skiing brand – ATOMIC.
KEY MISSION AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales & Distribution:
- Achieve the seasonal sales and distribution targets in the defined territory.
- Meet the seasonal key product category objectives in sales and distribution.
- Identify territory sales, distribution and promotion opportunities.
Relationship:
- Manage Customer Relationships: Oversee customer relationships, addressing both commercial and accounting aspects.
- Cultivate Key Relationships: Build and maintain strong working relationships, maximizing in-person contact with key personnel at each account.
Skiwear Areas:
- Expand Atomic Skiwear Distribution: Open new Atomic skiwear accounts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy in alignment with the annual distribution plan.
- Training and Awareness: Train both store employees and internal stakeholders to raise awareness and drive sell-in and sell-through of the Skiwear category.
- Leverage Trade Marketing: Utilize local Atomic trade marketing programs to boost sell-through of the Skiwear category.
In-store excellence:
- Enhance Brand Presence: Increase and maximize Atomic in-store brand presence and image across all customer and consumer touchpoints.
- Negotiate Brand Visibility: Negotiate in-shop space with accounts to ensure brand visibility, collaborating with the local Atomic Marketing Team to develop layouts and merchandising concepts.
- Coordinate Marketing Efforts: Work with the local Atomic Marketing Team to coordinate the annual consumer and marketing calendar for your accounts.
YOUR PROFILE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Customer Service Orientation: Understand and address the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring responses are aligned with the company’s interests.
- Results-Driven: Set ambitious operational goals, work to achieve them, and recognize when to step back to improve outcomes. Be proactive and assertive in decision-making.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Foster information sharing and team spirit, contributing to collective efficiency.
- Negotiation Skills and Objection Handling: Demonstrate the ability to negotiate effectively and manage objections.
- Fluent in German, fluent in English, good language level in French & Italian preferred.
- IT Competency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new tools (e.g., Sales Portal, B2B platforms).
- Knowledge of Sports Distribution: Familiarity with the specifics of the sports distribution landscape.
NEEDED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- At least 4-6 years of experience in sales with a strong skiwear and/or apparel expertise, preferred in winter sport equipment.
- Any other experience in the sports and outdoor industry will be welcomed.
- Market experience, deep understanding of the sport, strong sales and execution skills.
